bicycle funtime part 2 I biked around manhattan today and everybody was all walking and driving around not giving any fucks about no bikes or bike lanes or red or green lights or nothing made me think of philly and how nice and calm the street activity is here

walnut st. between 39th & 40th approx. 21:30 septa bus riding 90% in right-hand car lane 10% in bike lane. making me feel anxious, boxed in, etc. I see a cab pulled over about 100m ahead. in the bike lane. I’m approaching fast and surrounded; that is, septabus at 9oclock, parked cars at 3oclock, another cyclist at 6oclock and taxi 12oclock dead ahead. I’m out of escape...
